Daufuskie Island, South Carolina
Once known as the Martha's Vineyard of the South, this car-free historic island is a must see. A short distance from Hilton Head, this island is a part of Gullah culture. In addition to learning about Gullah culture, before leaving make sure to take a horseback ride along the beach. You may even spot a bottlenose dolphin or two in the ocean.
North Lake Tahoe, California
If you're all about the outdoors, Lake Tahoe has your name written all over it. Although ski season is over, there are plenty of other activities to do including, bird-watching, hiking, biking and golf. For those of you who like the beach, we recommend checking out the Lake Tahoe Water Trail to enjoy public beaches. For our night owls, try the âLit Up After Darkâ tour to experience the Water Trail after sundown in a clear-bottom kayak.
